We are looking for a dedicated individual to live and work as a Full-Time or Part-Time Family Support Advocate (FSA) in our St. Louis City maternity home. You can work with a wonderful team in a faith-filled, fast-paced residential environment. The Family Support Advocate will work with clients to provide general support and supervision throughout their stay, as well as augmenting the work of the Case Managers and Child Advocate by assisting with developmental and planned activities relating to the families. The FSA will model healthy interaction and communication styles to encourage positive interaction between clients and between each mother and her children. Must have a commitment to the agency’s pro-life mission. The Family Support Advocate will interact with clients and staff following a trauma informed care approach and, when required, use motivational interviewing and de-escalation techniques when working with clients. The FSA will live at the inn full-time but will only be on-call 3-4 overnights per week. Free room, food, and laundry included for on-call availability.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors’ degree in Social Work (or related field) with a minimum of 1 year working directly with clients or Associates’ degree plus 3 years working with clients. FSA should also have strong knowledge of trauma informed care methodology. Must be able to work some evenings (5pm-10pm) and weekend shifts. Should be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
