Resident Support Staff
We are looking for a Part-Time (24 hours) Resident Support Staff who is responsible for helping to ensure the safety and security of the building, establishing therapeutic relationships with the clients and maintaining the cleanliness of the home as well as assisting in meal preparation and occasional client transportation. The Resident Support Staff must have a commitment to the agency’s pro-life mission. *Must be available evenings after 4:00 pm and weekends.
A qualified candidate must have at least a High School Diploma/GED, valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance. A qualified Support Staff will also have experience in a residential setting or work in related field. Knowledge of pregnancy, child development and homelessness is preferred; as well as, familiarity with area agencies and community resources. Experience or knowledge of Trauma Informed Care is a plus! All Support Staff should be organized, dependable, patient, detail oriented, flexible and able to handle emergency situations. Ability to support clients effectively and enforce rules in a trauma informed manner. Good oral and written communication skills are a must!
We are seeking a dedicated individual to serve as a Part-Time (24 hours) nurse in our Defiance maternity home. You can work with a wonderful team in a faith-filled, fast-paced residential environment. The nurse will provide support for pregnant clients throughout pregnancy and post-partum as well as for their infants and children. The nurse will teach classes on pregnancy, health, and infant care using an established curriculum. An ideal candidate will have experience in pregnancy care, labor and delivery, or public health. Knowledge of pregnancy and childbirth a must! Knowledge of or experience with clients suffering with addiction and trauma is preferred. Must support the agency’s pro-life mission. Must be available some day time hours and Thursday evenings.
We are looking for a part-time (20-25 hours) Cook to support our maternity home team in Defiance, MO. The Cook is responsible for meal planning, preparation and cooking of 3 nutritious meals throughout the week approximately 9am-2pm and the planning and minimal preparation of weekend meals. The Cook must have a commitment to the agency’s pro-life mission.
A qualified candidate must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. He or she should have a ServeSafe Certificate or the ability to pass the training to acquire one. Attention to detail, strong communication skills, the ability to work with a team and patience are a must. Experience in residential setting is a plus! The ideal candidate will have knowledge of proper nutrition and meal planning, the ability to lift and carry cooking materials, boxes and cookware. No prior formal training required. Prior experience preparing meals for large groups in residential facility is a plus!
