Counselor
We are looking for a Counselor to work 24-32 hours per week. This position is responsible for the management of mental health and addiction support program of our clients. The Counselor works with clients, on an individual basis and in group setting, to provide mental health and substance abuse counseling, support, resource referral, and education. Must have Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Clinical Psychology with L.P.C., L.M.S.W, or L.C.S.W. Prefer minimum 2+ years of counseling experience and experience working within a trauma informed care service delivery environment. 30+ hours worked includes benefits and may include 1 day of remote work.
Overnight Resident Support Staff
We have an opening for a overnight Resident Support Staff at our Defiance maternity home who will work 3-4 overnights from 10:00pm-8:00am. (Thurs-Sun). The Overnight Resident Support Staff will work to build therapeutic, trusting relationships with our clients while also fulfilling certain duties including some administrative tasks. Support Staff may provide client transportation, prepare breakfast, assist with cleaning, and prepare for new clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in a residential setting with some knowledge of pregnancy and homelessness. The candidate should be patient, dependable, flexible and able to handle emergencies in a calm manner. A valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance and a clean driving record is a must! We are willing to train the right candidate who is ready to learn.
Live-In Family Support Advocate
We are looking for a dedicated individual to live and work as a Full-Time or Part-Time Family Support Advocate (FSA) in our St. Louis City maternity home. You can work with a wonderful team in a faith-filled, fast-paced residential environment. The Family Support Advocate will work with clients to provide general support and supervision throughout their stay, as well as augmenting the work of the Case Managers and Child Advocate by assisting with developmental and planned activities relating to the families. The FSA will model healthy interaction and communication styles to encourage positive interaction between clients and between each mother and her children. Must have a commitment to the agency’s pro-life mission. The Family Support Advocate will interact with clients and staff following a trauma informed care approach and, when required, use motivational interviewing and de-escalation techniques when working with clients. The FSA will live at the inn full-time but will only be on-call 3-4 overnights per week. Free room, food, and laundry included for on-call availability.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors’ degree in Social Work (or related field) with a minimum of 1 year working directly with clients or Associates’ degree plus 3 years working with clients. FSA should also have strong knowledge of trauma informed care methodology. Must be able to work some evenings (5pm-10pm) and weekend shifts. Should be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
