CARF Accreditation

What Is CARF?

CARF International is an independent, nonprofit organization that accredits health and human service providers. A CARF survey is an independent review of our program against recognized standards for quality, safety, accountability, and client-centered care. For OLI, accreditation is more than an award. It reflects our commitment to high standards, measurable outcomes, and continuous improvement in the services we provide to our clients and their children. OLI has been CARF accredited since 2012, reflecting 14 years of commitment to quality services. We are currently accredited in two areas of the CARF Behavioral Health Standards: Case Management/Services Coordination: Family Services (Adults) AND Community Housing: Family Services (Adults).

The Accreditation Process

Two CARF surveyors will spend approximately 2–3 days with us. One will focus on administrative and business operations, while the other will visit each house to learn about our programs and facilities and experience our services firsthand.  Their goal is to understand how effectively we support clients and maintain business operations, while meeting standards for quality and accountability.

CARF will provide a Final Review Document summarizing the survey team’s findings and accreditation decision. It will identify strengths, areas for improvement, and any recommended or required quality improvement actions. This feedback helps us recognize our strengths and identify opportunities to improve.

Why CARF Matters

CARF accreditation builds confidence in our program and demonstrates our commitment to quality, safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Maintaining these standards helps strengthen the community and funding support needed to sustain our mission to serve women and children well into the future. Most importantly, the survey is an opportunity to recognize the exceptional work YOU do every day. Thank you for your continued commitment to serving our clients with quality, compassion, and care.
