Because of the dedication and love of many volunteers and donors, more than 5,000 families have been assisted!
Who Can Volunteer? 1) Any age can fill out a volunteer application. Minors need the written permission of a parent or authorized guardian. Younger volunteers will need to have their parent(s) or guardian(s) volunteer with them. 2) A child abuse & neglect screening application will also be completed for ages 18 or older.
Individuals can volunteer... of any age. Younger minors must volunteer with an authorized, responsible adult. Potential volunteers who are 18 years of age or older should ask Our Lady's Inn for the required Missouri state child abuse/neglect screening form. Students high school grades or younger should contact Laura Smart or Betsy Beauparlant at the numbers above.
Groups, small or large, can volunteer... families, churches, friends, coworkers, businesses, social clubs, civic organizations, students, corporate volunteerism programs, school groups, students, missions groups, retirees, etc., can volunteer.

CHILDCARE Babies & children! Fun! Various days and hours while moms are at meetings in Our Lady's Inn.
OFFICE, CLERICAL, DONATIONS Our Lady's Inn is open at both locations, 24 hours per day. Volunteers are needed to help answer phones, monitor the office, welcome clients and visitors, keep donations and storage rooms orderly, etc. Computer arts: InDesign and newsletter design; digitizing and editing video
KITCHEN & COOKING Our Lady's Inn prepares and serves meals three times per day for the moms and children. We are blessed to have volunteers and donors who provide the food and/or come in to cook. Let us know if you would like to share your culinary delights with the families.
FUNDRAISERS Our Lady's Inn raises the majority of its funding through special events, fundraisers, grant writing, donations and the kind generosity of other supporters. Volunteers can help seek financial donations, grants, items for auctions, sponsors for events, as well as help with fundraiser registration, checkout and thank you's, etc.
REPAIRS, UPKEEPS, IMPROVEMENTS Plumbing, painting, carpentry, yardwork, flooring, cleaning, installing. You name it, we'll need it at some point.
BOOTHS AT FAIRS Fundraisers, community resource fairs, college volunteerism events, student service learning & practicum fairs, etc. It's easy and fun to do: set up displays, hand out literature, and engage in conversation about Our Lady's Inn with anyone interested. "PAY IT FORWARD" JEWELRY & CARD CRAFTS AND OTHER PROJECTS Our Lady's Inn helps clients create jewelry and handmade greeting cards in our "Pay It Forward" group. These items are offered for donations at booths and fairs and fundraisers, and at our Twice Blessed Resale Shop.
TWICE BLESSED RESALE SHOP Twice Blessed always need SHOPPERS and volunteers! In addition to the hours when the shop is open (Tuesdays through Saturdays, 10am-5pm) store manager Lucy Hannegan can use helpers at other times. Twice Blessed is located at 3302 Meramec Avenue, corner of Virginia Ave. in south St. Louis City (314) 481-3332. Next door to Winkelmann & Sons Drug Store and only 1/2 block away from Our Lady's Inn-St. Louis.
ASSIST THE DEVELOPMENT DIRECTORS: ...with our website, e-newsletter, graphic design, newsletters, brochures, event invitations, ads for publications, marketing, public relations, media contacts, fundriasers, capital campaign, print materials, promotional video, and more!
PRAY: The first and most important way to help Our Lady's Inn is to please PRAY for the moms and children. Thank you! We could not do this work without God's presence and power. And God will show you the ways you can help.
VISIT & TOUR: Through a personal visit to our Missouri locations in St. Louis and St. Charles, you will discover ways you can volunteer, donate items and provide financial support.
LEARN MORE: E-mail us or call us to request a free copy of the DVD video "The Miracle Works" to watch with your family, friends, church, coworkers, club members, etc. We can supply you with extra copies of our brochure and DVDs to give out at your events. Invite staff, volunteers and former clients of Our Lady's Inn to speak to your group.
FINANCIALLY SUPPORT: Our Lady's Inn raises funding year-round through special events, appeals, FUNdraisers, grants, online giving, tributes for honors & memorials, etc. Support opportunities are available through charitable giving, planned giving, pledged contributions, Capital Campaigns, the Missouri Maternity Home State Tax Credit Program and more.
COME TO A FUNDRAISER: The people who attend make these events FUN! Luncheons, dinners, fashion shows, golf tournaments, silent & live auctions, trivia nights, breakfast gatherings, concession stands, walk/runs, prayer retreats, and other creative events. Event planning committee volunteers are always needed.
TELL OTHERS: Let your friends, family members, coworkers, colleagues, club members, students, church members, etc., know about the work of Our Lady's Inn. Spread the word about through your internet communication pages and social networking sites, as well. Our Lady's Inn is on Twitter and Facebook.
